Appalachia Christmas Drive
Thanks to all at Pepe's who generously donated to this worthy event. It was a great success!!
Seven 18-Wheeler-tractor-trailers left for Kentucky on December 16 loaded with all the collected goods.
Special thanks to Tommy Tufano who orchestrated the donations of all of those beautiful new bikes that were collected!
During the event we found out that Shop-Rite's parent company Wakefern donated all of the tractor trailers and paid their drivers to haul the goods down to Kentucky. Additionally Shop-Rite donated $50,000 in food, which went down in one of the trucks.
Shop-Rite doesn't publicize their extreme generosity, and ask for nothing in return.
But even though they don't ask for anything in return in publicity or whatever, I would ask that we all try to patronize Shop-Rite whenever possible.
